About Cinema of Poetry

Cinema of Poetry is the award-winning destination wedding film studio of Kostas Petsas, creating refined, story-driven films across Greece, Italy and worldwide.

Cinema of Poetry is the destination wedding film studio of Kostas Petsas, an award-winning filmmaker based in Greece, working across Italy, Europe and worldwide, from Santorini and Puglia to Rome, Paris, Toronto and New York.

His approach is built on authenticity and intention. He does not direct or redefine a celebration, but structures the film around the elements that already exist within it, the quiet anticipation before the first look, the touch of a hand during the ceremony, the moments that pass in seconds and last a lifetime. Calm and discreet on the day, observational rather than formulaic, he shapes what he captures into a refined, emotional film that moves beyond appearances and into the essence of the story, a film to be returned to over time.

Kostas Petsas films weddings the way a poet writes: paring everything back until only the essential remains. He works with authenticity and intention, calm and discreet in every room, drawn to emotional nuance rather than a checklist of events, and to the real rhythm of a day rather than a formula imposed upon it. The films are refined and story-driven, cinematic but never showy, carrying the feeling of the celebration as much as its images. Award-winning and five-star rated, his work has been recognised as Best International Wedding Filmmaker and Best Wedding Film in Europe, and published by Vogue and Over the Moon. He films across Greece and Italy and travels worldwide, from cliffside churches in Santorini to villas in Tuscany and celebrations in Toronto and New York.
