One planner, ten weddings a year, and a fee published before you ask for it.
Elisa Prati has planned more than eighty destination weddings in Italy since 2014, working from Lake Como out to Tuscany, the Amalfi Coast, Puglia and Sicily. She publishes her fees in full and takes a maximum of ten weddings a year.
Elisa Prati founded her agency in 2014, in Merate, halfway between Milan and Lake Como. More than eighty weddings later she still takes a maximum of ten a year, a limit she publishes rather than mentions, and the arithmetic of that is the whole proposition: the person who answers the first email is the person standing in the room on the day.
She came to weddings from fashion and graphic design, and it shows in the work rather than in the language. The register changes with the place. A ceremony among cypresses in a Tuscan garden is not lit, laid or timed like a whitewashed courtyard in Puglia, and neither is like a frescoed hall on Lake Como with the chandeliers already in it. The design starts from the building and the season, not from a mood board that would travel anywhere.
Her destinations are the ones she publishes and photographs: Lake Como, Portofino, Venice, Tuscany and Florence, Rome, the Amalfi Coast and Capri, Puglia and Sicily. Her weddings have been carried by Vogue France, Carats and Cake, Wedding Sparrow, The Wed and Wed Vibes. She plans Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, interfaith, humanist and civil ceremonies, and same-sex weddings, and she says so on a page of her own rather than in a line of small print.
The commercial terms are unusually plain for this end of the market. Four fees, published in full on her own site, fixed rather than taken as a percentage, quoted for design, planning and coordination with every supplier priced separately and said so on the same page.

Hello Elisa, Pascale, We would like to thank you again for the work you have done for the organization of our wedding. Everything was perfect, from our first exchanges to the last moment at Borgo Casabianca. Thanks to you, we had an unforgettable day and our loved ones did too. You knew how to understand our desires and our expectations. Again a big thank you to you! Karine and Ibrahima Sidibe-Mandin
Her fees are published in full on her own website. A one day wedding starts at 9,000 euro plus VAT, a multi day wedding at 11,900, a micro wedding of seven to thirty guests at 6,400, and an elopement of two to six people at 5,200. Each is the fee for design, planning and coordination only. Venue hire, florist and all other suppliers are quoted and paid separately.
No. She quotes a fixed fee, calculated on the logistics and the complexity of the event rather than on what you spend. In her own words on her directory listing: a fix fee, based on the logistics and complexity of the event.
She suggests holding your date and venue at least twelve to eighteen months ahead, depending on the destination and the season. Because she takes a maximum of ten weddings a year, her own availability is usually the binding constraint rather than the venue's.
A maximum of ten a year. That figure is her own, published on her directory listing, and it is a stated limit rather than a description of demand.
No. If you have a supplier you want, she will work with them, subject to the rules of your venue. Her own portfolio of venues, artisans and suppliers is offered rather than imposed.
If you can manage two, she recommends two: one to see venues, and one for the menu tasting and the hair and make-up trial. Everything else runs on video calls, shared documents and telephone support on working days.

"Elisa Prati founded her agency in 2014 and has planned more than eighty weddings since, across Italy and into South France. She came to events from the fashion and graphic design industries, which is where the eye comes from, and she works out of Merate, between Milan and Lake Como. She caps herself at ten weddings a year."
