Some weddings are defined by a place. The Berkeley is unmistakably one of them: a Maybourne hotel on Wilton Place in the heart of Knightsbridge, between Hyde Park and Belgravia, and one of the most chic and effortlessly stylish hotels in London. Its magical Ballroom and versatile function rooms are all licensed for civil ceremonies, offering couples the rare luxury of marrying and celebrating under one elegant roof, in the heart of the city.
The hotel's magical Ballroom and versatile function rooms, the Wilton, the Knightsbridge and the Belgravia, are all licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships, offering the perfect setting to celebrate the start of a couple's journey together. The range of beautiful private rooms caters for everything from an intimate wedding breakfast or reception to a grand, glamorous dinner dance.
Personal wedding coordinators work with a number of exclusive, luxury wedding services to bring each couple's dream wedding to life, on hand every step of the way to ensure that every wedding is tailored to every requirement. The bride and groom receive an overnight stay and complimentary spa membership for the nine weeks before the big day, and the bride is invited to a private bridal jewellery consultation over champagne.
"One of the most chic and effortlessly stylish wedding venues in London, in the heart of Knightsbridge."
Dining at The Berkeley is acclaimed, from the hotel's celebrated kitchens to the artistry of pastry chef Cédric Grolet, whose creations are works of art in themselves. Wedding menus are tailored to each couple, served in the Ballroom or the function rooms, from an intimate wedding breakfast to a grand dinner dance, with the wedding cake a superb centrepiece and every dietary preference accommodated.
Not every wedding fills a ballroom. Some couples want only a beautiful private dining room, a table for two or twenty, and an unforgettable meal. The Berkeley's restaurants and private dining rooms, with the conviviality of The Berkeley Bar and Terrace, are made for exactly that, the most intimate celebrations and elopements, given the same care as the grandest dinner dance.
Beyond the celebration, The Berkeley is a destination in its own right. Its rooftop pool, "Capri in the city", overlooks the rooftops of Knightsbridge and Hyde Park, with a retractable roof for sunshine or stars; and around 190 chic rooms and suites welcome the wedding party, moments from Hyde Park, Belgravia and the boutiques of Sloane Street.
Wellness & Pool
The Berkeley is a sanctuary for the couple as much as a stage for the wedding. Surrenne, the hotel's private wellness club in Belgravia, brings together a serene indoor pool, treatment rooms, hydrotherapy and bathing rituals, movement studios and a calm social lounge, the perfect place for the bride and groom to be pampered and to unwind in the days before, and after, the celebration. The bride and groom enjoy complimentary spa membership for the nine weeks leading up to the big day, so wellness becomes part of the wedding itself.
