The drawing comes first.

Most planners start with a venue and a budget and work towards a look. Varsalona starts with a hand drawing. It is the detail his one published endorsement fixes on, from a collaborator who watched a wedding go from his first sketches to a set the guests could not believe had been built. That order of operations explains the rest of the studio: if you are going to draw something before you know whether it exists, you need the floral team, the set builders, the lighting and the 3D renderers in the same building. He has them.

Meet the Planner

Dario Varsalona

Born in Naples in December 1983. He found the trade at a wedding fair at the Mostra d'Oltremare in 2008, took three planning courses, and talked his way into assisting Cira Lombardo on her events. Later he worked alongside Massimo Iodice, the Neapolitan florist. That is a Naples apprenticeship, served in Naples, and the work has never left the city.

What he built is a studio rather than an agency. Wedding design, event management, graphics, space, florals, architecture, 3D, lighting, video, photography, set. Eleven disciplines, in house, so that a drawing can survive contact with the build.

The Aesthetic

A veiled luxury, revealed through the refinement of the details.

His own line, and the most accurate one available. The scenes are sophisticated and essentially simple in form, and then the detail does the work. It is why the rooms read as opulent rather than busy.

Eleven Disciplines, One Roof.
How He Works

Eleven Disciplines, One Roof.

Wedding designer, event manager, graphic designer, space designer, floral designer, architect, 3D designer, light designer, video maker, photographer and set designer. The studio lists roles rather than names, which tells you how it thinks: the discipline matters, and the build is the point.

Custom-Designed Weddings

From venue selection to decoration, every element orchestrated as one build. The design is drawn first and costed after, which is the opposite of how most of this industry works.

Event Design and Production

Set design, space design, lighting and 3D renders, handled in house. The staircase cakes and mirrored aisles are not hired in. They are built.

Floral Design

An in-house floral discipline, learned alongside Massimo Iodice in Naples. Blossom ceilings, foliage tunnels and banks of white peony run through the work.

Private and Corporate Events

Birthdays, anniversaries and personal celebrations, plus meetings, conferences and gala dinners. The same production capability, pointed at a different night.

Naples

Born there, based there, and it shows. The studio sits on Via Galileo Ferraris and the apprenticeship was served in the city, with Cira Lombardo and then Massimo Iodice.

Campania

The primary operating region. His own films run from Villa Campolieto at Ercolano to Villa Aragonese in Naples and STONE at Castellammare.

Capri

La Canzone del Mare, filmed and published on his own channel. The island is a short hop from the studio and a different proposition entirely.

Across Italy and internationally

His stated reach: primarily Naples and Campania, and available to manage events across Italy and abroad. No specific overseas market is claimed, so none is listed here.

I assisted in the planning of this wedding from the first sketches hand-drawn by Dario himself. He is a guarantee! The guests were incredulous by the wonderful structures designed by him and created by his team of experts.

Investment

Drawn First, Costed After.

Weddings at This venue typically represent a total investment of Bespoke, depending on guest count, season, and the level of bespoke elements chosen.

No price is published, and the studio does not work from a package list. Weddings begin as hand drawings and are costed once the design exists. What the 5 Star listing does state is scale of effort: between 60 and 250 hours go into a single event.

Dario Varsalona

Theatrical. Ceremony aisles laid across mirrored water, ceilings of white blossom, live dancers on a lit stage, a cake built as a staircase, fireworks, and a first dance in dry ice. The scale is deliberate.

In his own words, scenes built towards a sophisticated and essential style, of clean and linear forms: a veiled luxury, revealed through the refinement of the details.

He found it at the Tutto Sposi fair at the Mostra d'Oltremare in Naples in 2008, took three wedding planning courses including one with Cira Lombardo, who then let him assist on her events, and later worked alongside the florist Massimo Iodice.

Because the studio draws a wedding before it knows the thing exists. A hand-drawn set only survives if the florists, set builders, lighting designers and 3D renderers work for the same person.

Naples and Campania are the core. His own films also cover Ercolano, Castellammare and Capri, and he states availability across Italy and internationally.

Yes, on his own YouTube channel, including Villa Campolieto at Ercolano, Villa Aragonese in Naples and La Canzone del Mare on Capri.
