Built from two careers on opposite sides of the same wedding.

Ilaria Menichetti spent six years building Glam Events alone before Lara Paoloni joined her, and the way they met says something about how the agency still works. Lara was running the hotel side of a wedding Ilaria was planning, which means the partnership started with two people who already understood both ends of the same day: what the planner needs from the venue, and what the venue needs from the planner.

Ilaria Menichetti & Lara Paoloni

Ilaria founded Glam Events in 2009 out of what she describes simply as a passion for events, for the planning process and for details. She had already designed weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, birthdays and private and public events across Italy by the time Lara Paoloni came into the picture in 2015, through a wedding where Lara was the events manager at the host hotel and Ilaria was the planner.

They have run Glam Events together since, styling toward vintage and shabby-chic as easily as bright contemporary colour, and starting every project the same way: deciding the palette and the mood together with the couple before anything else is booked. A team of five more women, in design, guest management, production and social media, now works alongside them.

The Method

Fewer weddings, not more.

The agency states its own limit plainly: it caps the number of events it takes on each year so that every couple gets the team's full attention. In a category where scale is usually the selling point, that is a deliberate constraint, and it is the reason the portfolio ranges as widely as it does without any of it looking rushed.

Decide the mood first. Book everything after.
How They Work

Decide the mood first. Book everything after.

Every project starts the same way: deciding the palette and the mood together with the couple, because that decision shapes everything that follows. From there the team works solely with vetted Italian vendors, builds the timeline, manages the budget, and handles the paperwork, printed materials, welcome bags and guest logistics that a destination wedding generates in quantity. On the day itself a dedicated planner and assistant planners stay on site for its duration, which the agency states as a commitment rather than an upgrade.

Design and Styling

Every project starts with the palette and the mood, decided together with the couple before anything else is booked. The agency does not just coordinate a wedding, it designs it, styling toward vintage and shabby-chic as easily as bright contemporary colour.

Venue Search and Logistics

Sixteen years across Tuscany, Lake Como, the Amalfi Coast, Puglia and Veneto means a working shortlist of venues, celebrants and vendors rather than a search that starts from nothing. The agency handles the logistics planning that follows a venue choice: timelines, floor plans and transportation.

Vendor Sourcing and Coordination

The team works solely with a trusted network of Italian vendors, from florist to caterer to band, and coordinates the entire wedding day so the couple never has to manage a supplier directly. RSVP tracking, wedding websites and printed materials all sit inside the same service.

On the Day

A dedicated planner and assistant planners stay on site for the whole of the wedding day, plus 24/7 concierge service across the trip. Welcome bags, favours and every printed detail are produced and delivered as part of the same commitment.

Tuscany

The home ground: cypress avenues, walled gardens, olive groves and stone villas from La Foce to Castello del Nero. Most of the portfolio, and most of the agency's working relationships, live here.

Lake Como

Frescoed ballrooms and lakeside terraces, a different register entirely from rural Tuscany: formal, gilded, built for a long table down the centre of a painted room.

Puglia

Whitewashed masserie, centuries-old olive trees strung with lights, long communal tables. A far southern counterpoint to the Tuscan hills, and proof the agency's reach runs the length of the country.

Amalfi Coast and Veneto

Both named in the agency's own destination list alongside its Tuscan base: the vertical coastline of the Amalfi towns, and the villas and canals of the Veneto. Two further registers within reach of the same team.

From the very beginning, Ilaria was nothing short of amazing. Her professionalism, warmth and attention to every detail made the entire experience unforgettable.

We firmly believe in a qualitative approach: we limit the number of events we organise every year, so we can devote all of our time to you.

Investment

A Qualitative Approach, By Design.

Weddings at This venue typically represent a total investment of Bespoke, depending on guest count, season, and the level of bespoke elements chosen.

Glam Events publishes no planning fee, and neither does its directory listing. What the agency states instead is a working principle: it limits the number of events it takes on each year so that every couple gets its full attention, from the first enquiry to the last dance. The team works solely with vetted Italian vendors and prices the wedding itself, venue, catering, flowers, music, transport, individually and transparently, rather than folding everything into one number quoted up front.

Glam Events in Tuscany

The agency states its own limit rather than hiding it: it caps the number of events it takes on each year specifically so every couple gets full attention. That discipline is visible in how differently each wedding in the portfolio is designed, from a candlelit tree-hung chandelier dinner to a Puglia masseria table under an olive tree.

A genuinely wide one: fuchsia candlesticks and pastel florals at blue hour, a rainbow of roses, orchids and hydrangea banked around a stone statue, and an entirely different blush and white palette at the same spot for another couple. The agency styles toward vintage and shabby-chic as readily as bright contemporary colour.

Because the agency has been working across all five of its named destinations for sixteen years, which means the vendor relationships travel with it. A frescoed Como ballroom and a whitewashed Puglia masseria are different registers entirely, and the portfolio evidences both.

Directly. Ilaria Menichetti and Lara Paoloni both hold the title Production and Design Director, and client reviews name Ilaria and Lara individually rather than referring to a generic team.

It starts before any vendor is booked: deciding the palette and the mood together with the couple. Everything that follows, florist, stationery, lighting, favours, is chosen to fit that decision rather than pulled from a fixed package.

Yes. Welcome dinners, guest excursions and farewell events are part of the same service, evidenced in the portfolio by a trattoria-style welcome party with pots of pasta and tomatoes at Castello del Nero.
