Couples marry in the Church of St John Lateran or in the ground-floor rooms of the house for up to 140, then take drinks in the festoon-lit Italian courtyard and on the West Terrace before a wedding breakfast beneath the ornate ceiling of the Long Gallery. The celebration carries into the night in the panelled hall, and the whole party stays on in the twenty-one bedrooms, so the day becomes a private weekend within the estate.

Dining is by the hall's exclusive partner, Milsom Catering, seasonal and modern British, served beneath the ornate ceiling of the Long Gallery, which seats up to 140. Canapés and Champagne come first in the Italian-style courtyard and on the West Terrace, generous and unhurried in the grand old rooms.
