Daria Events & Weddings

Daria Events & Weddings is Daria Ovseenko's studio, run from Lausanne in the Canton of Vaud and pointed at three countries: Switzerland, France and northern Italy. It moved to destination weddings exclusively in 2020, and most of its couples come from the United States and the United Kingdom, which makes the seven languages spoken in-house less of a boast than a working requirement.

The studio offers two things and does not pretend otherwise: full wedding planning, end to end, for couples planning from abroad; and event design and production, with the floral décor done in house. The portfolio runs from Lavaux's UNESCO vineyard terraces above Lake Geneva to Gstaad, Villars, Champéry, Bordeaux and Champagne.

Her position on the whole business is unusually direct. Too often, she writes, the essence of a wedding gets lost in the pursuit of perfection, and what should feel like a celebration turns into a carefully managed performance. The studio exists to prevent that.
