A Neapolitan studio where the wedding is drawn before it is booked.
Dario Varsalona is a Naples-born wedding and event designer whose studio handles floral, set, light and 3D design in house, and whose weddings start as hand drawings.
Dario Varsalona was born in Naples in 1983 and works there still. What he runs is less a planning desk than a production house: wedding design, event management, graphic design, space design, floral design, architecture, 3D design, light design, video, photography and set design all sit in house, under one roof and one eye.
He arrived at it sideways. A visit to the Tutto Sposi fair at the Mostra d'Oltremare in 2008 turned into wedding planning courses, one of them with Cira Lombardo, who then let him assist on her events. He went on to work alongside Massimo Iodice, the Neapolitan florist. Over ten years later the studio's signature is theatrical: mirrored aisles, staircase cakes, live dancers, fireworks, and a dance floor deep in dry ice at one in the morning.
His own description of the aesthetic is the more useful one: a veiled luxury, revealed through the refinement of the details. He primarily works Naples and the wider Campania region, and travels across Italy and internationally.

Dario is a great wedding planner and designer. I assisted in the planning of this wedding from the first sketches hand-drawn by Dario himself. He is a guarantee! The guests were incredulous by the wonderful structures designed by him and created by his team of experts. An unforgettable wedding, like all those designed and created by Dario!
Naples, where he was born. The studio is on Via Galileo Ferraris in the city, and he works across Campania and the wider country from there.
No price is published on his site or his 5 Star listing. Costs are confirmed on enquiry, after a design concept exists. The listing does state that between 60 and 250 hours go into a single event.
Primarily Naples and the wider Campania region, including Capri. He states he is also available to manage events across Italy and internationally, though no specific overseas market is named.
That is the main point of the studio. Wedding design, event management, graphic design, space design, floral design, architecture, 3D design, light design, video, photography and set design are all in house.
Yes. Private events such as birthdays and anniversaries, and corporate work including meetings, conferences and gala dinners.

"Dario Varsalona is a wedding and event designer based in Naples, where he was born and still works. He came to the profession the long way round, through wedding planning courses and a period assisting Cira Lombardo, then working alongside the Neapolitan florist Massimo Iodice. The studio he runs now is a production house more than a planning desk: wedding design, event management, graphic design, space design, floral design, architecture, 3D design, light design, video, photography and set design are all handled in house. The work is theatrical, and unapologetically so."
