Ilaria Menichetti founded Glam Events in 2009; Lara Paoloni joined in 2015, having met Ilaria through a wedding she was running as a hotel events manager. Sixteen years on, the agency plans full-service destination weddings across Tuscany, Lake Como, the Amalfi Coast, Puglia and Veneto.
Glam Events was born in 2009 out of Ilaria Menichetti's passion for events, for the planning process itself and for the details that most people never notice until they are missing. In 2015 a wedding brought her together with Lara Paoloni, then the events manager at the hotel hosting it. The two realised something could be built from the union of their experience and personalities, and they have not stopped since.
Sixteen years of experience in Tuscany and across Italy sit behind the agency now, run by a team of seven women who limit the number of events they take on each year so that every couple gets full attention. The portfolio ranges from a candlelit dinner under a tree hung with a crystal chandelier at La Foce to a trattoria-style welcome party with pots of dry spaghetti and vine tomatoes at Castello del Nero, from a frescoed ballroom on Lake Como to a table beneath a centuries-old olive tree in a whitewashed Puglia masseria.
The agency works solely with vetted Italian vendors, prices each part of a wedding individually rather than folding it into one figure, and stays on site as a dedicated planner and assistants for the whole of the day. Engagements, elopements, vow renewals and multi-day celebrations sit alongside full weddings on its own list of services.
